Shah addressed a booth-level party workers meeting and had lunch with a tribal family as part of Gujarat BJP’s ‘Vistarak’ initiative, which aims at establishing direct contact with people.

Shah and his team campaigned in Devaliya village under Chhota Udaipur constituency, which has been held by eight time Congress MLA Mohansinh Rathwa.

Earlier, as Amit Shah was about to arrive in Chhota Udepur’s Devaliyam the atmosphere turned festive. Upon reaching the village, Amit Shah got grand welcome according to tribal culture with presenting bow and arrow and danced on traditional tunes via dhol and flowers.

Shah broke the protocol and met the villagers of Devaliya and then he took lunch at the home of tribal Popatbhai Rathwa.

He had rotla, baigan sabzi, tandalja bhaji and lapsi. Shah took stock of the situation of local political situation in the meeting and asserted that the motive is to spread works of BJP to each home.

Since 1990 BJP has never lost in Gujarat. BJP is increasing the pride of the nation. It is our great luck that Narendra Modi is leading us. He also gave new number to become BJP members. He also said that it was my destiny to make booths. BJP is cadre based party.

At Centre, the government is running under the leadership of Modi and in Gujarat, the government is running under Rupani. When Modi was CM we won 120 seats, now that he is PM, we will win 150 seats, he said.
